- Initially, reluctant for the marriage, but later the family and Akshay Kumar himself gave their consent for it. The wedding was a lavish one and was a hot topic among the paparazzi. She is known to be her brother’s partner in crime. This notion gained publicity when a video showing the notoriety, both were up to, went viral, where she allegedly “slapped” him, on Raksha Bandhan.
- There are more reasons apart from her association with the construction baron Hiranandani, which brought her into focus. She produced, along with her brother and another producer, Ashivini Yardi, a movie called Fugly, which received a mixed response from the critics and a cold one at the box office.
- The film could not do much to attract large crowds, however, was instrumental in bringing to the limelight as Alka as an able producer of films. The company started by the aforementioned producers, Grazing Goat Pictures was the one behind many other movies, they completed.
