Cameron Boyce was an American actor, dancer, and model from Los Angeles, California. He starred as “Carlos” in the Disney Channel film franchise ‘Descendants’ and as “Conor” in Disney XD’s Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything. His film credits include Mirrors (2008), Eagle Eye (2008), and Grown Ups (2010). He also had memorable roles in the series Jessie, General Hospital: Night Shift, and Jake and the Never Land Pirates.
Boyce was born on May 28, 1999, in Los Angeles, California. His parents were Libby and Victor Boyce, and he had a younger sister named Maya. He attended Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies. Boyce enjoyed breakdancing and was a member of the “X Mob” dancing crew. He showcased some of his dance moves on the web series ‘The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers’, and in the video game ‘Just Dance Kids.’ His small-screen debut was the 2008 music video for “That Green Gentleman” by the Panic! at the Disco band.
CAREER
Boyce made his feature film debut in the horror flick, Mirrors (2008), starring Kiefer Sutherland. His next film role was as “Sam Holloman” in the thriller, Eagle Eye (2008). Earlier that year he held a recurring role as Michael “Stone” Cates Jr. on the soap opera General Hospital: Night Shift. Boyce co-starred opposite Adam Sandler in the comedy film, Grown Ups (2010). His role of “Keithie Feder” was reprised in Grown Ups 2 (2013). His film credits also include Game On (2011) and Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer (2011) with Jordana Beatty. The latter earned him a Young Artist Award for best performance in a feature film (shared with cast member).
In 2012, Boyce joined the main cast of Disney Channel’s Jessie as “Luke Ross.” The show was created by Pamela Eells O’Connell and co-starred Debby Ryan, Peyton List, Karan Brar, Skai Jackson, and Kevin Chamberlin. Jessie completed its 4th season in January 2015. The role of “Luke Ross” was reprised in Ultimate Spider-Man (2014), and in 2 episodes of Bunk’d (2016). In 2015, Boyce landed his biggest screen role as “Carlos” on the Disney TV film ‘Descendants.’ The film was directed by Kenny Ortega and the main cast include Dove Cameron, Booboo Stewart, Sofia Carson and Kristin Chenoweth. Boyce returned for ‘Descendants 2’, released in July 2017. The third installment of the Descendants film series is scheduled for August 2019.
In addition to his on-screen roles, Boyce was a talented voice actor. He voiced the character “Jake” for seasons 2 and 3 of Jake and the Never Land Pirates (2012-14). He supplied the voice of the fictional superhero “Herman Schultz / Shocker” for the animated series Spider-Man (2017). He also lent his voice to the animated series Descendants: Wicked World (2015-17). Boyce held the main role as “Conor” on Disney XD’s live-action comedy series, Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything (2015-17). He was cast in the upcoming series Paradise City, and Mrs. Fletcher.
