Markelle Fultz is an American professional basketball player for the Orlando Magic. He played college basketball for the Washington Huskies before declaring for the 2017 NBA draft. He was also named Washington Catholic Athletic Conference Player of the Year. Fultz competed in the 2015 Under Armour Association Circuit and Under Armour Elite 24 invitational. As a senior, his numbers improved to 19.1 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. Fultz won gold in 2016 as a member of the American FIBA Americas U18 Championship team. He participated in the 2016 Jordan Brand Classic and the Nike Hoop Summit. He played alongside Lonzo Ball, Malik Monk and Miles Bridges in the 2016 McDonald’s All American Game.
Fultz continued his basketball career at the University of Washington. He started in all 35 games for the Huskies during the 2016-17 season. He averaged 23.2 points, 5.9 assists, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.6 steals. He shot 47.6% from the field and 41.3% from the 3-point range.
