"Outside In" actress Kaitlyn Dever has impressed fans with her appearances in diverse films since making her debut in 2009. And while fans seem to have her work life figured out, they remain in the dark about her real life behind the scenes. Does she have a partner? Is she dating? Is she queer?
With a career that is a little over a decade in the making, Dever has made incredible progress in the business that has seen her named one of Variety's 10 Actors to Watch.
Dever has cemented her place in the business with her versatile roles, including playing Palmer's daughter in "J. Edgar," Krystal in "The Spectacular Now," Jayden Cole in "Short Term 12," Brandy Beltmeyer in "Men, Women & Children," and Karen Malloy in "Detroit," among many others.

She, however, received critical acclaim for her role as Loretta McCready in "Justified" alongside actor Neal McDonough and was named Summer 2013's indie "It" girl three years later.
At only 26, the actress has taken Hollywood by storm and is only getting started, with many more projects lined up in the future. However, despite her successful streak in acting, the actress appears to be single.
Often, a star's social media acts as a window into their personal lives, but Dever's Instagram does not show any telltale signs that the actress is in a relationship.
Kaitlyn Is Very Private About Her Life
Dever has been known to be incredibly private about her life, with her social media featuring only her family and friends. Going by her Instagram, it does not seem like she has a romantic interest.
Still, it hasn't always been that way. In 2014, the actress was linked romantically to Ansel Elgort after playing love interests in "Men, Women & Children." The rumors were never confirmed.
In 2020, she was once again rumored to be involved with Finn Wolfhard. However, she did not confirm whether or not they were an item. Her socials remain dedicated to appreciating fun moments with her friends and family and celebrating the achievements of those closest to her.
Despite Being Private, Kaitlyn Finds Joy in Her Friends' Relationships
Despite being single, the star has plenty to keep her heart full. She finds joy in her friends' achievements and celebrates their wins with them.
Recently, the actress had reason to celebrate after two of her friends, Ben Platt — who co-starred with her in the 2021 "Dear Evan Hansen" — and "The Good Doctor" actor Noah Galvin got engaged.
Denver took to her Instagram stories to swoon over the engagement photos and share the thrilling news of her two friends coming together. She also posted pictures of the two lovebirds on her page, congratulating and hyping them over the milestone.
In September 2022, the "Ticket to Paradise" actress celebrated yet another friend's milestone when her best friend got married. She posted cute wedding photos and congratulated the newlyweds on their beautiful union.
Kaitlyn Once Played a Queer Character, but It's Not an Indication of Her Sexuality
Among the films Dever has appeared in is "Booksmart," a comedy film about two longtime best friends attending an end-of-school-year party to compensate for the lost time. She stars alongside renowned actors like Lisa Kudrow and Will Forte — who play her parents — and Jason Sudeikis.

In the film, Dever plays Amy, a queer high school senior interested in a girl called Ryan. Still, Dever insists that the film is not a coming-out story but one of friendship and fun:
"She's a queer character, but there's no coming out story."
Despite executing her role to perfection, her character is not an indication of her real-life sexuality, which remains a mystery.
