SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Broadway at the Eccles has announced the shows coming to Utah next year.
The 2019-2020 season will include the hit Tony Award-winning musical “Dear Evan Hansen,” which was previously announced.
The six-show season package also includes “Frozen: The Musical,” “Miss Saigon,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Anastasia,” and “A Christmas Story: The Musical.”
Tickets for “Dear Evan Hansen” will be handled much the same way the theater did for Salt Lake’s stop of “Hamilton” – 2018-2019 season ticket holders who renew for next season will get first shot at reserving tickets before they are made available to the general public.
Eccles Theater will begin renewing season tickets today at 9:00 a.m., online at www.broadway-at-the-eccles.com or in person at Broadway at the Eccles box office at 610 E. South Temple.
Those hoping to be new subscribers should add their names to a wait list online.

“Miss Saigon”

From the creators of “Les Miserables” (Claude-Michel Schönberg and Alain Boublil), the musical first opened on Broadway in 1991. Based on Puccini’s opera, “Madame Butterfly,” it tells the story of a young Vietnamese woman, orphaned by war, who falls in love with an American G.I. They are torn apart by the fall of Saigon.
“A Christmas Story: The Musical”
December 3-8, 2019

Based on the cult classic holiday movie that runs all day on television every Christmas, the show chronicles Ralphie Parker as he schemes for an official Red Ryder Carbine-Action 200-Shot Range Model Air Rifle under the Christmas tree. From the songwriting duo of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (“Dear Evan Hansen,” “La La Land,” “The Greatest Showman”).
“Fiddler on the Roof”
January 21-26, 2020

The Disney animated adventure comes to life on stage, in a coming-of-age story of sisters Elsa and Anna. As one struggles with being an outsider and harnessing her powers, the other sets out on a thrilling adventure to bring her family back together. Inspired by the 1997 animated movie, the stage production is set in 1920s Paris, where a young woman sets out to discover the mystery of her past. It features a score by Tony Award winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty and a book by Tony winner Terrence McNally.
